POSITION PURPOSE

To plan, organize, and lead recreational activities and programs, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for participants as part of the Recreation Department as part of the municipal recreation program.

RECREATION COORDINATOR

The City of Humboldt, Iowa (4,792) is seeking to fill the position of Recreation Coordinator, which will provide daily management of recreational programs for the City of Humboldt. Work is performed with direction from the Recreation Director. This position is also responsible for preparing rules, registrations, rosters, schedules and scheduling staff for the programs. Bachelor’s degree in Parks & Recreation or related field or 2 year experience in operation of recreation programs is preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education. Position includes nights and weekend hours as programs are scheduled. Position is full-time with excellent benefits.
