Iowa’s Water and Land Legacy: Advocating for Sustainable Outdoor Funding

In 2010, Iowa created the Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund by constitutional amendment to promote clean water, healthy natural resources and ample outdoor recreation opportunities– but since then, the trust has remained empty. This state legislation (often referred to as IWiLL, for Iowa’s Water and Land Legacy) represents an important opportunity in Iowa conservation and outdoor recreation.
